In this series of workshops, we’ll focus on a specific set of postures, breaking them down so that they are understandable and accessible Each workshop will have an anatomical component, to deepen your understanding of your physical body and practice, as well as an exploration of the connection between the physical, energetic, and subtle body. Whether you're excited to learn fancy poses that require open hips or simply want to move well and pain free, there is something for everyone in this workshop. In "Unlocking the Hips", we'll explore the anatomy of the hips and pelvis and how lack of mobility in the hips can lead to pain and discomfort in other parts of the body. We have a whole toolkit for you including myofascial release techniques and both passive and active stretches to relax, strengthen, and increase mobility in our hips. This workshop is for you if: - you're an athlete noticing tightness through you're hips and seeking tools for injury prevention - you spend a lot of your day sitting or standing in the same position - you are experiencing low back pain - you want your body to keep moving pain-free for years to come - you're a yoga teacher wanting to learn indivualized techniques to help your students move well and pain free
